Be aware of false prophets regarding the rapture! Please read and share!
The nation of Israel was in the Babylonian exile for a reason and for a season.
The prophet Jeremiah foretold to them the length of the soon exile and the cause of it: seventy years – one year for every seventh year they never kept as sabbatical year during the 490 years in the land. The bottom line of it was simple – you’re punishment is because of your disbelief and disobedience!
During those 70 years, there were many false prophets and magicians who “read in the stars” or heard “from the Lord” regarding an earlier return to the land of Israel.
God has a purpose in teaching Israel the lesson of obedience and faith in Him alone!
This is exactly why Jeremiah wrote:
“… For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord…” (Jeremiah 29:8-9)
Jeremiah promised to Israel that when the time will come God will restore Israel! Those famous verses which most Christians chant by heart were originally written to Israel regarding God’s heart for them:
“… For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive…” (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
Today we witness exactly the same exact phenomena: false prophets giving days and hours of the soon coming of the Lord to take His people to be with Him- the rapture!
They use anything from blood moons, sun eclipses, natural disasters or even the death of certain people. In some cases, these may be signs of the coming end yet none of these can clearly tell us of a day or an hour!
If false prophets were there when the times of Israel’s return was clear and known, can you imagine how dangerous it is to believe those false prophets when the time is NOT clear?
God decided by His grace not to reveal even to Jesus (while He was on earth) the exact day as Jesus Himself said:
“… But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only…” (Matthew 24:36)
There is value in learning to wait upon the Lord with expectation! It teaches us patience, faith, love and care for this lost world! It teaches us to live as active believers doing our father’s business rather than passive ones who count the minutes to His Return.
Our life as believers means nothing if we don’t have this hope of His soon Return!
Our race as believers means nothing if we don’t use the time while we are here to share that hope with this dying world!
Let us NOT run the race in vain!
“…Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching…”
Awaiting His Return,
