Rapture Ready

Deciphering the Feast of Trumpets :: By Matt Leasher

Every year when the Feast of Trumpets (a.k.a. Rosh Hashanah), rolls around, prophecy watchers go into what I call, “high alert” in anticipation for the Rapture of the Church.  I, myself, am one of those watchmen and this year there seems to be extra cause for excitement.

As many people may know, there are several similarities and parallels with the traditional aspects of the Feast of Trumpets compared to the Rapture, especially when viewed from the Jewish perspective.  I recently came across a list of all the different Jewish names for the Feast of Trumpets and their meanings. I’d like to list them here with their meanings and their parallels to the characteristics of the Rapture of the Church and their possible relevance to this year!  But first, please understand that I am not date setting, but rather discerning the times as our Lord calls us to do!

Names Associated with the Feast of Trumpets:

Rosh Hashanah – means “head of the year” and is the New Year on the Jewish calendar (Tishri 1), and is designated by the New Moon.  The last new moon we had was during a solar eclipse over America.  Traditionally a solar eclipse was recognized as a sign of coming judgment.

As I am writing this America is experiencing severe devastation on the west coast with the largest wild fire ever recorded in Los Angeles causing mass evacuations. The gulf coast is recovering from the ravages of Hurricane Harvey and a potential record breaking size hurricane is threatening to possibly strike the east coast sometime very soon.

Teshuvah – signifies repentance.  The Hebrew month prior to Tishri is Elul and it is designated as the month of repentance. It is customary to blow the shofar every day (except on Shabbat), leading up to the Feast of Trumpets.

Many have talked about the “Sign of Jonah” when the solar eclipse occurred last month and that it happened on the first day of Elul.  Exactly 40 days later is the Day of Atonement and the number 40 in the Bible represents a time of testing or trial.  The Lord instructed Jonah to give the wicked city of Nineveh 40 days to repent before He would judge the wickedness of that city with destruction. Nineveh repented and was spared God’s judgment. Could the last eclipse be a sign that America and/or the rest of the world have 40 days left to repent before Judgment comes?

Yom Teruah – designated as the “Day of Shouting” accompanied by the “Awakening Blast” to call those that are sleeping in the dust to come to life.

At the Rapture the Lord will come with a “shout” and a “trumpet” when He first resurrects those that sleep in Christ and then translates us Christians who are alive to join them!

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Yom HaDin – means “The Day of Judgment”.   The “Judgment Seat of Christ” will likely occur immediately after the Rapture where all believers in Christ are judged for their works and given the crowns that they earned. (see Romans 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15; and 2 Corinthians 5:10)

For those that don’t go in the Rapture, it will certainly be a day of judgment for them as they will have to face the 21 sets of divine judgments that are outlined in Revelation chapters 6 through 18.  It is important to note that the church is not mentioned once in any of those chapters.

Yom HaMelech – relates to the Lord being recognized as King of the universe. The coronation of kings traditionally occurred on this day and we can surmise that the coronation of the King Messiah will occur on a future Feast of Trumpets, perhaps at the Second Coming.

It is interesting to note that Stephen was the first martyr of the Church Age and that the “crown of life” that Jesus offers to the church of Smyrna in Revelation 2:10 is called the “stephanos” in the Greek, likely named after Stephen. This makes Stephen the first member of the “bride of Christ” to enter heaven.

When Stephen was about to die he saw Christ “standing” from His seat next to the Father to welcome him home.  When the Rapture occurs Christ will once again leave from His seat next to the Father to come and get the last remaining members of the bride of Christ.  There are some theologians that believe Stephen was martyred on the Feast of Trumpets, possibly even as early as the same year that Christ was crucified.

Chevlai shel Mashiach – is a Hebrew phrase meaning “birth pangs of the Messiah” and is recognized as “the time of Jacob’s Trouble.”  Jacob’s name was changed to Israel after he wrestled with God (Genesis 32:28).

When Jesus was asked by the disciples about the end of the age, He told them that those days would be the beginning of “sorrows” (Matthew 24:8). The Greek word for sorrows is “odin” and it means “birth pangs.” The prophet Jeremiah spoke of the birth pangs of the Messiah in Jeremiah 30:6-7:

“Ask now and see,

Whether a man is ever in labor with child?

So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins

Like a woman in labor,

And all faces turned pale?

Alas! For the day is great,

So that none is like it;

And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble,

But he shall be saved out of it.”

The “time of Jacob’s trouble” is synonymous with “Daniel’s 70th Week” and the seven year Tribulation period. After the Rapture of the Church, the Lord’s attention will return to Israel as she suffers through the afflictions of the Tribulation period.

Kiddushin / Nesu’in – is the wedding ceremony and implies that the wedding of the Messiah will take place on the Feast of Trumpets.  When the Rapture occurs, Christ the Bridegroom will come to receive His bride and take her to His Father’s house. (John 14:1-4)

All of the similarities and parallels between the ancient Jewish wedding traditions and the Rapture of the Church are too extensive, to go into all of the details here. I highly encourage you to do a study of it on your own and you will be sure to be blessed!

Natzal –  or “the day of the natzal” and also refers to the resurrection of the dead.  Natzal in the Hebrew (Strong’s H5337), means “deliverance, to deliver, to snatch away,  take away, to rescue.”  Basically, “natzal” is the Hebrew correspondence to the Greek “harpazo” which means “rapture”!

Shofar HaGadol – refers to the “last trump.” The last trump blown after a series of trumpet blasts on the Feast of Trumpets is a long bellowing blast.  Paul referred to the “last trump” when he described the Rapture in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52.

“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

Yom Hakeseh – means “the hidden day”. Isaiah 26:19-21 mentions God’s people “hiding themselves” after the dead are raised and the Lord comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.

Psalm 27:5 also reminds us:

“For in the time of trouble

He shall hide me in His pavilion;

In the secret place of His tabernacle

He shall hide me;

He shall set me high upon a rock.”

Rosh Hashanah has also been referred to as the “hidden day” because it is the only Feast of the Lord’s seven Feasts given in Leviticus 23 that begins on a New

Moon.  The start of the Feast can’t be determined until the first sliver of the moon reappears, after it has come out of “hiding”, and is seen by two witnesses. Because of this there is a two day window when the Feast can begin, so no one knows the day or the hour!

Lastly, the Feast of Trumpets has also been termed as “The Day of the Opening of the Gates.”  In Jewish tradition the gates of heaven would open up on Rosh Hashanah allowing the sinner to repent before God and have his name written in the Book of Life that would then be sealed on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).

During this time the High Priest would go into a chamber in the Temple and “hide himself” from the people (Israel), until the Day of Atonement when he would then come out and determine whether Israel had been forgiven of sin or whether Israel would suffer judgment.

Currently our High Priest, Christ Jesus, is in heaven making intercession for the saints (Hebrews 4:14), and will soon be coming out of His place to judge the world for their iniquity (Isaiah 26:21).

In Revelation 4:1 the apostle John is raptured up to heaven to be shown the things that must come afterward, meaning after the Church Age that was outlined in the previous chapters 2 and 3.  When John is taken up it mentions that “a door was opened in heaven.”

Jesus said of Himself:

“I am the door, if anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

If the Feast of Trumpets is known as the “opening of the gates”, then it certainly could apply to the Rapture of the Church where the Lord descends and the church ascends in and out of heaven!

With all of these parallels and similarities between the multiple meanings of the Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture of the Church followed by the Tribulation period, is it any wonder why prophecy watchers get excited when Rosh Hashanah comes around!

Before I close this commentary I would like to address the ever so common misusage of the verse that no one can know the day or the hour.  When Jesus made that reference in Matthew 24:36 and also in Mark 13:32, the preceding verse in both of those passages says,

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Then, Jesus said, “but of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

With that in context, when will the heavens and earth pass away? After the 1,000 year Millennium reign of Christ.  So Jesus was clearly not talking about the Rapture at all.  The context of both of those chapters is the Tribulation and His Second Coming.

Furthermore, our Lord is very orderly and the Church and her Great Commission had not yet been ordained when He made that statement. So why would He tell them they would not know the hour that it would end when He didn’t even commission it yet.  The disciples would have no idea what He was talking about.

However, they would understand that He was talking about the Tribulation period because the Tribulation is spoken of all through the Old Testament, (referenced as the Day of the Lord).  The new heavens and the new earth was also already written by Isaiah as well. (Isaiah 65:17; 66:22)

That verse is the most misquoted verse in the Bible and used as an excuse to not be watching by far too many people that should be watching.

Jesus’ words in Revelation 3:3 clearly imply that the church IS supposed to be watching and knowing the “hour” of His return.

“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.” (Revelation 3:3)

All of the seven letters to the churches end with the admonition:

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Notice churches is plural.  So that message about watching and knowing the hour of His return applies to the entire Church Age. What we never want to do is be dogmatic about any certain date, but there is nothing wrong with being on high alert on one of the Lord’s feast days that He has ordained to be  His appointments.

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as isthe manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”  (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Love is Woman’s Stock-in-Trade

September 8, 2017

(l. Matthew Broderick & Ally Sheedy in WarGames, 1983)
Western women have been tricked
into pursuing power instead of love.
Paradoxically, they never have
been so powerless. They
want to be loved but
no longer have love
to offer in exchange.
“Any girl who grows to womanhood without knowing that love is her supreme value has been spiritually raped. Feminine spirituality expresses an attitude of spiritual waiting, and tending, and readiness for the meeting with its opposite which is a prerequisite for inner wholeness. Without this she becomes a prey to the masculine within herself, a raging spirit of intellectual or physical activity to which no man can be related, and to which she can in no way relate herself. She is a woman possessed.”  Irene Claremont de Castillejo, Knowing Woman: a Feminine Psychology.
Western Women Have Lost Power to Love (Revised)
by Henry Makow Ph.D.
The movie “WarGames” (1983) illustrates how the Illuminati undermined heterosexuals in 34 short years. In the movie, Matthew Broderick is a computer whiz who accidentally starts a nuclear countdown and races to avert catastrophe. His girlfriend, played by Ally Sheedy is seen in a complementary role, basically helping, encouraging and admiring him. He is the leader. But her presence informs, validates and heightens everything he does. It’s as though his actions are dedicated to her.
This is the way heterosexuality works. Woman empowers man by entrusting her power to husband.  This is how woman loves, i.e. by “trusting,” enlisting as First Mate to his Captain. If this movie were remade today, she would be Captain; he would be emasculated, and they would break up.
From Chaucer to Freud, men have asked, “What do women want?”  It’s really quite simple. They want to be loved. Specifically, they want the passionate lifelong love of a husband. But what makes a man love a woman in this way? Her sacrifice. By throwing her lot in with his, accepting his leadership, and serving him and their children. In other words, lasting love is earned by deeds.  It is not based on sex appeal (which wanes) or witty comebacks. It is built on bonds of GRATITUDE.

By teaching women to be self-seeking instead of self-sacrificing, Feminism has deprived them of their stock-in-trade, love. All they have left to give is sex.  Because they won’t surrender to a loving husband, they’re reduced to giving themselves to strangers.
Cabalist Jews and Freemasons are Satanists. They control by degrading and corrupting. Like termites they eat away at the supporting columns of society. The family is the red blood cell of a healthy society. It provides us with our roles and identity, as well as necessary emotional and material support. It ensures the young are born, loved and raised properly, and the aged are taken care of. Our family is our link in the chain of eternity. So the Satanists have always wanted to destroy it.

They went after the women, who they deemed fickle, vain and feeble-minded. “There is no way of influencing men so powerfully as by means of the women, Adam Weishaupt wrote. “These should therefore be our chief study; we should insinuate ourselves into their good opinion, give them hints of emancipation from the tyranny of public opinion, and of standing up for themselves; it will be an immense relief to their enslaved minds to be freed from any one bond of restraint, and it will fire them the more, and cause them to work for us with zeal, without knowing that they do so; for they will only be indulging their own desire of personal admiration.”
They convinced wmen that marriage and family were “oppressive.” Men toiled in factories and died in war to provide and protect, but somehow women were the ones oppressed.
Satanists needed to interfere in the natural affection and attraction males and females have for each other and for their offspring. Satanists exist to banish love.
A woman’s essence is love, the power to generate love, by loving and being loved in return.  This is the source of her power. A woman’s love for her husband and children is the most precious thing in the world. For a man, this love is his greatest treasure.
By allowing herself to be snookered, by pursuing material instead of spiritual power, she has essentially lost the power to love. She can have power or love. She can’t have both.
Women need a man’s love like a flower needs sunshine and water. Men nurture women and women empower men by acquiescing to their reasonable demands. This is the heterosexual dynamic.
Men, if you want to discover if a woman loves you, make a reasonable request and see how she reacts.

Left, Sheila Jeffreys, 68, is best known as a lesbian feminist scholar and political activist.
What Sheila Jeffreys calls “the eroticization of powerlessness” is heterosexuality. But she is a lesbian who obviously can’t understand that women’s love is her power. She wants to turn all women into lesbians who like her can’t understand that woman’s style, beauty, charm (her femininity) depends on eschewing material power.
A woman who gives herself to her husband is cherished and loved by him and their children.  A woman who pursues power in masculine terms is doomed to a life of isolation and bitterness.
Western feminist, you’ve forfeited your most precious gift for nothing. You’re vulgar, a real turn-off. You lack personality, charm, style, substance. You can’t love. You’re not even sexy. And soon you won’t have youth. You’ll have nothing but your job, your dog and your equally desperate friends.

Western feminists, you’ve been robbed, betrayed by your society, teachers, and political and cultural leaders; and consequently you’ve joined their traitorous ranks. You’ve betrayed your unborn children, your culture, your family and the promise of the future. But worst of all, you’ve betrayed yourself.
But, if it’s any consolation, you were fleeced by the best.
Makow—– The End of Woman
First Comment  by C – “We are all Communists now…”
As you probably know, the Marxist theorist Walter Benjamin described lesbians as “the heroines of modernism”, by which he meant that modern urban culture had an inevitably masculinizing  effect on women – a process he portrayed as progressive.

Reading your excellent piece I was reminded too of the Anglo-Welsh writer Douglas Hyde’s memoir of his membership of the British Communist Party in the 1930s, “I Believed”. Hyde recalled that sexual promiscuity was rampant among his fellow Communists, but the problem for the male communist studs  was that they deemed the female members of the party completely “unbedworthy”. Hyde said this was partly because feminine women were mostly not attracted to Communism,  and that even when they were, membership of the party – and the promiscuity that went with it – soon masculinized them.
Well in a sense we are all Communists now – the promiscuity of the 1930s commmies was probably tame in comparison with what respectable middle class suburbanites get up to today. And there’s no doubt in my mind that the physical coarsening of modern feminist/SJW female millennials, and their embrace of the crudest forms of machismo – tatoos, piercings, doc marten boots, etc – is directly linked to their parents equally enthusiastic embrace of  “sexual liberation” a couple of decades ago.

Israel: Why Russia may not respond to the alleged Israeli airstrike in Syria

Moscow may well turn a blind eye to attack on Assad’s chemical weapons depot; the Syrians and Iranians might want to pause too

Editor’s note:  This is Israel’s rationale for their recent bombing attack on Syria.  We just print the news, we don’t fabricate it.

How will Moscow respond to the alleged Israeli attack Thursday on a facility in northwestern Syria where the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad is said to have stockpiled chemical weapons and missiles?

Analysts have contemplated various possible Russian responses to the attack on the Masyaf base, near Hama, which took place early Thursday morning. Many have suggested that Russia cannot ignore the attack, which occurred some 70 kilometers (40 miles) from its Khmeimim Air Force Base in Syria.

Nonetheless, Russia appears to have good reason to turn a blind eye to this attack, as it has done in the past.

The Russians are certainly interested in retaining their control over Assad and ensuring his victory over the opposition forces, both religious and secular. For this reason, the Russians have even overlooked his chemical attacks on civilians.

It is also important for Russia to demonstrate its superiority in the region. The attacks attributed to Israel so near their own position pose a definite challenge to their control.

However, the Russians also understand that bringing non-conventional weapons to the region, or any weapons which Israel considers to be a game-changer, could have the opposite result than that which they seek in Syria.

Instead of stability, they could see an escalation, with Israel confronting the Syrians and Iranians, and further destabilizing elements entering the region.

Another possible explanation for why Russia would possibly prefer to ignore Israeli attacks was Wednesday’s United Nations report.

UN war crimes investigators said they had evidence that Assad’s government forces were behind a chemical attack that killed dozens of people in Khan Sheikhoun in April and had perpetrated seven such attacks between last March and the end of July.

These attacks occurred despite the regime’s September 2013 commitment to Moscow to destroy all stockpiles of chemical weapons, as part of a wider agreement with the US and the international community.

It is possible that the Syrians, by using chemical weapons, tricked not only the rest of the world but also the Russians.

Though Israel has not confirmed its role in Thursday’s attack, the strike has nevertheless been widely attributed to the Jewish state, with the understanding among analysts that the Syrian weapons facility was being used to violate the red lines Israel has set.

Different than previous attacks

Israel has attacked dozens of targets across Syria in previous years. In August, a former commander of Israel’s air force said that it had carried out dozens of airstrikes on weapons convoys destined for Hezbollah over the past five years. The remarks by Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel revealed for the first time the scale of the strikes, which are usually neither confirmed nor denied by the IAF.

However, Thursday’s attack was different.

This time, the target was considered more valuable and the operation was more dangerous.

First, the location: Hama, north of Damascus, is deep inside Syria, and not far from Russian military positions.

Second, the timing: As the Syrian civil war winds down, it becomes impossible for Israel to try to lay blame for such attacks on opposition groups. Additionally the attack came a day after the tenth anniversary of the (apparent) Israeli attack which destroyed Syria’s Korean-built Dir a-Zur nuclear reactor.

Before and after satellite images of the Syrian nuclear reactor at al-Kibar, which was reportedly struck by Israel in 2007 (AP/DigitalGlobe)

Third, the target: This was a facility of Syria’s Scientific Studies and Research Center (CERS), which is a cover for the manufacture of secret weapons, both chemical and non-chemical, as well as rockets and missiles.

An attack on this type of facility, at this time and place, if committed by Israel, sends a clear message to Iran and of course to the Syrian regime: When Israel’s red lines — such as the building of precision rockets, or Iranian facilities like an air base or port — are crossed, it will take action.

This attack may not cause the Russians to rush to end Iranian efforts at expansion in Syria. However, it might just cause Tehran to reconsider its ambitious plans.

If not, this could all end in bloody confrontation between Israel, Syria and Assad’s ally Iran.

Terrorist Groups and their American Patrons Need to Accept They Lost Syria War

The Undeniable: Terrorist Groups and Patrons Need to Accept They Lost Syria War

TEHRAN (FNA)- In the lead-up to ceasefire talks in Kazakhstan, UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura has said it’s time for the foreign-backed terrorist groups to recognize that they didn’t win the long war on Syria.

Mistura is pushing a proposal in which, as soon as the rest of ISIL territory gets overtaken by the allied forces of Iran, Syria, Russia and Hezbollah, a nationwide ceasefire would result, leading to negotiations on a permanent settlement of the conflict.

“For the opposition, the message is very clear: if they were planning to win the war, facts are proving that is not the case. So now it’s time to win the peace,” Mistura told reporters. He added that the only real victory would be a sustainable resolution.

The most significant part of the comments is not the proposal for peace talks, but the recognition that the “overthrow-Assad plan” isn’t going to be won. That’s something the regime changers have been dancing around for some time, and likely something US terror proxy forces are going to get mad at Mistura for drawing attention to.

Missing in Mistura’s comments, however, is any acknowledgement that what happened in Syria was a war crime, and a crime against humanity on the Syrian people. The US’ and Persian Gulf Arab states’ terror sponsoring, and Turkey’s callous looting made an easy decision for the UN to sideline the Syrian government for some time. And this was why we saw the Western push to get President Assad to leave prior to elections.

On the other hand, by ending the CIA program to arm and train Qaeda-allied “moderates” attempting to affect regime change in Damascus, the Trump administration has equally accepted defeat in Syria. This signals an end to America’s commitment to achieving regime change. That being said, the program was doomed from the outset:

1) The problem with the criminal program, which was running the CIA nearly a billion dollars a year, was not that it was under resourced or insufficient in scale. The problem was that its logic was wrong and out of sync with the basic demands of Syrian people for peaceful reforms.

2) Whatever the program had going for it, its criminal nature came to light after the conflict took full swing and opposition groups joined ISIL and Al-Qaeda, hence sharing US-supplied weaponry with them. The covert program’s theory of the case fell apart when it became clear that the so-called armed opposition was permeated by terrorist groups and sectarian extremists and de-linked from the civilian interlocutors with which the Syrian government was meant to compromise.

3) This signals the end of regime change operation, as America’s Arab allies have equally started to lose interest in pursuing an agenda they can no longer realistically achieve. For the sake of the argument, Saudi Arabia is now on a desperate charm offensive to normalize ties with Iran after the regime change fantasies turned into twin nightmares in both Syria and Yemen.

4) It’s now clear that not many terror backers are willing to continue with this or a similar effort absent America’s political cover and leading role. Terror sponsors – including Saudi Arabia and the UAE – are exhausted, if not checked out on the proxies entirely. Saudi Arabia, preoccupied now with its failed war on Yemen, is no longer seriously invested in regime change in Syria. Turkey has also given up on regime change, instead preferring to maintain the de-escalation deal with Iran and Russia and pursue its narrow national security ends.

5) Last but not the least, Qatar’s dispute with Saudi and the United Arab Emirates was the last nail in the coffin of regime change operation. Despite the ongoing Saudi-led blockade, Qatar has shown no signs of stepping down. Though this is clear to the outside world, the problem is that Washington is not one to accept defeat outright. Not, at least, until it has completely left its destructive mark on everything that moves in the very country it is struggling to forcibly bring to its knees.

This does touch on the fact that Washington still backs terrorist groups in Syria and elsewhere that pose an equal threat to the West states and is still continuing to back these groups quite heavily. Although it is common knowledge that the US is partnering with the Kurds, the Trump administration is actually attempting to give the Kurds as much Syrian territory as possible, conveniently taking Syria’s most oil-rich region in the process. This is intended to take the region directly out of the hands of the Syrian government, and pave the way for the country’s partition after ISIL and other terror groups are defeated.

If anything, while the US is unwilling to openly accept defeat when it comes to its Syria strategy, its wars and occupations remain completely active in the Middle East. Predicting the Trump administration’s next move is easy; you can be almost certain that the next move will not see anything close to a withdrawal from Syria or the wider Middle East region.

After witnessing the chaos from several vantage points, it is clear that from the Israeli and US side of the story, the war is no closer to a resolution today than it was more than six years ago, despite the employment of thousands of US military personnel and billions in aid to terror proxies. The only difference now seems to be Washington’s wilingness to divorce the smashed terror proxies of Al-Qaeda affiliates to focus on a new plot that engages new militant proxies. Nonetheless, the conflict is not going to end on terms imposed externally by the US and company, but only when a political settlement – or “a sustainable resolution” – is reached by those who will have to live with its results i.e., the Syrian government and the Syrian people.
