Count Down Days To Death in Israel.

Aangeleverd door: Spruitje

In one of the fieriest speeches directed at Israel by Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, he called for the ethnic cleansing of all Jews in Israel, the destruction of the Jewish state and told Israelis to begin a “count down to death.”

The speech echoed recent rhetoric recently by the Iranian regime and its military officials, who said Tel Aviv would be “destroyed” if Israel made “a mistake,” and that Israel would not survive for more than 25 years.

“Israel should remain silent and count down the days to its death, because any minor mistake would lead to its demise as fast as lightning,” said Iranian army commander Maj.-Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi.

The Investigative Project on Terrorism said the threats contain two messages.

“The first message is a reaffirmation of the Shi’ite axis’s jihadist, ideological, long-term commitment to Israel’s destruction,” the report said. “The second message is more immediate; it is an attempt to deter Israeli decision makers from trying to stop Iran and its proxies from taking over Syria.”

Iran, Hezbollah and several other Shi’ite militias are helping the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad regime complete its victory over ISIS, with the assistance of Russian airpower. The upsurge in war-like rhetoric toward Israel is a signal of growing confidence fueled by their victories in Syria, said the IPT report.

Nasrallah has good reason to remain fearful of Israel, for it is the only state that has both the capability and determination to challenge their takeover of Syria. There have been a series of reported Israeli precision strikes on weapons production centers and arms smuggling attempts in Syria. One strike reportedly targeted the Assad regime’s Scientific Studies and Research Center weapons facility, where chemical, biological, and advanced ballistic missiles are developed and manufactured. The targeted facility may have been where Iran tried to hand over powerful weapons to Hezbollah.

Israel issued its own warning on what is taking place in the region.

“The next conflict, if it erupts, will have a completely different character,” said Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman. “Our enemies will try first to strike our population centers and civilian infrastructure. And if our red lines will be breached, the other side must know in advance that it is going to pay very heavy prices.”

Mattis Tells Military to ‘Be Ready’ Regarding North Korea

Secretary of Defense James Mattis on Monday urged the U.S. military to “be ready” regarding the nuclear threat posed by North Korea so President Donald Trump can employ military options if necessary.

“What can the U.S. military do to lessen the likelihood of conflict on the Korean peninsula?” a questioner asked at the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual meeting.

Mattis said the government is currently using a “diplomatically led, economic sanction-buttressed effort” to try to deter North Korea from its nuclear ambitions but said the future is unpredictable.

“Now what does the future hold? Neither you nor I can say, so there’s one thing the U.S. Army can do, and that is you have got to be ready to ensure that we have military options that our president can employ if needed,” Mattis said.

Mattis again said the effort to stop North Korea is diplomatically led, touting the United Nations Security Council’s recent unanimous votes to impose further sanctions against the rogue country for its belligerent behavior.

“The international community has spoken, but that means the U.S. Army must stand ready,” Mattis said. “So if you’re ready, that’s your duty at this point in time.”

Trump tweeted again about ongoing tensions between the U.S. and North Korea on Monday, saying that giving the country billions of dollars over the past 25 years did not work. Trump has warned North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that his country will face destruction if it ever acts on any of its nuclear threats against the U.S. or its allies.

Our country has been unsuccessfully dealing with North Korea for 25 years, giving billions of dollars & getting nothing. Policy didn’t work!

North Korea says ‘terrorist’ CIA tried to assassinate Kim Jong-un with chemical weapon

‘Heinous terrorists’ tried to topple the Supreme Leader, state-run news agency claims

North Korea has claimed the US tried to assassinate its Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, earlier this year.

The state-run Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) claimed the CIA attempted to use a chemical or biological poison to take out the dictator.

The alleged attempt shows the US is the “main culprit behind terrorism”, it said.

The news agency, which is seen as the propaganda wing of the country’s ruling Workers’ Party, said: “In May this year, a group of heinous terrorists who infiltrated our country on the orders of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the US and the South Korean puppet Intelligence Service with the purpose of carrying out state-sponsored terrorism against our supreme headquarters using biological and chemical substance were caught and exposed.

“This palpably shows the true nature of the US as the main culprit behind terrorism.”

KCNA also claimed the US “changes its colours” like a “chameleon” in order to justify overthrowing governments in other countries.

It accused Washington of using the war against terrorism to justify its interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

North Korea’s on-going missile tests have deepened tensions with the US and led Donald Trump to threaten to “totally destroy” the communist state.

The North Korean government claimed in May that it had foiled a US and South Korean plot to kill its Supreme Leader. A man named only as “Kim” was paid to carry out an attack with biological substances, the country’s Ministry of State Security claimed. The CIA refused to comment on the reports.

North Korea has a history of making contentious statements that cannot be verified. It has previously claimed the US and South Korea have hatched a plot, named “Plan Jupiter”, to kill Kim Jong-un.

South Korea threatens to drop blackout bombs on North Korea

SOUTH Korea’s military is ready to deploy a powerful weapon that can totally paralyse North Korea in the event of a nuclear war.

SOUTH Korea is ready to deploy graphite bombs that can paralyse North Korea’s power grid in the event of a nuclear war.

Military sources told the Yonhap news agency that the “blackout bomb” works by spreading chemically treated carbon graphite filaments over electric facilities to short-circuit and disrupt the electricity grid.

The weapons have been developed by South Korea’s Agency for Defence Development, as one element of the Kill Chain pre-emptive strike program.

The program is designed to detect, identify and intercept incoming missiles in the shortest possible time.

It works with Korea’s Air and Missile Defence system.

“All technologies for the development of a graphite bomb led by the ADD have been secured”, a military official said.

“It is at the stage where we can build the bombs at any time”.

The defence ministry has also requested next year’s budget include 500 million won (US$436,000) for the project but the finance ministry did not accept it, he added.

The bomb is often referred to as a “soft bomb” since it only affects targeted electrical power systems.

It was first used by America against Iraq in the 1990—1991 Gulf War and again by NATO against Serbia in 1999.

The threat comes after South Korea has continued to look for ways to boost its defensive capabilities against North Korea and its rogue leader Kim Jong un.

Graphite bombs are not lethal to those living in surrounding areas.

Their development comes as South Korea is fastracking its “three pillars” of national defence by as much as three years.

The strategy was originally scheduled to be in place by the mid-2020s.

The news comes after Kim Jong-un has promoted his sister to a senior ruling party post, and praised the country’s nuclear weapons program which has sparked international alarm.

Kim Yo-Jong becomes an alternate member of the party’s powerful politburo, the decision-making body presided over by her brother, the official KCNA news agency said.

The promotion was announced along with those for dozens of other top officials at a party meeting led by the leader.

It came as the regime faces growing global pressure to curb its weapons drive following recent nuclear and missile tests.

Tensions soared as Kim traded verbal threats with US President Donald Trump, who tweeted on Saturday that “only one thing will work” to tame the isolated nuclear-armed state.

The sister, in her late 20s, has frequently been seen accompanying her brother on his “field guidance trips” and other events and is known to have been involved in the party’s propaganda operations.

Both were born to the late former ruler Kim Jong-il and his third partner, former dancer Ko Yong-Hui.

The family has ruled North Korea since its creation in 1948. The current ruler came to power after the death of his father in December 2011.

Since then he has overseen four of the country’s six nuclear tests — most recently in September — while cementing his grip on power through a series of purges, including those targeting his uncle and half-brother.

The uncle, Jang Song-Thaek, was executed in 2013 for treason and the half-brother Kim Jong-Nam was killed by a toxic nerve agent in a Cold War-style assassination at a Kuala Lumpur airport in February.

Both the North’s missile and nuclear weapons capabilities have made significant progress under the current Kim, despite a growing layer of UN sanctions.

Kim acknowledged the country faced with “ordeals” under a “stern” situation, but claimed that its economy had grown this year despite ever-tighter sanctions.

He described the North’s atomic weapons as a “treasured sword” to protect it from aggression.

“The nuclear weapons of the DPRK (North Korea) are a precious fruition borne by its people’s bloody struggle for defending the destiny and sovereignty of the country from the protracted nuclear threats of the US imperialists,” Kim was quoted as saying.
