EU plots MASSIVE expansion to become 37 country MEGABLOC after Brexit

Albania, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey could all become members under EU plans.

And they could be joined by Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Kosovo in a vast land grab by the EU.

Meanwhile the bloc is squaring up to Vladimir Putin by attempting to bring Russian allies Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia under their control.

It comes as EU Commissioner Jean Claude Juncker storms ahead with his plan to further unify the continent and bring nation states under the yoke of Brussels.

The bloc has long held membership over Turkey as a way to bend the will of the increasingly autocratic state.

During the height of the migrant crisis Ankara took on 3.4 million refugees headed for Europe at the behest of Brussels in return for aid cash and the promise of membership.

But the state has repeatedly called the bloc’s bluff, earlier this year threatening to allow 15,000 citizens through the border a month after EU criticism of President Erdogan’s increasingly authoritarian stance following last year’s military coup.

During the UK’s EU referendum former prime minister David Cameron claimed Turkey’s membership was a millennia away.

Lebanon PM Al-Hariri being held hostage in Saudi Arabia

Senior Lebanese government official claims PM Sa’ad Al-Hariri being held in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon working to return him to his country.

Many Lebanese citizens these days are occupied with the question of what stands behind Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Al-Hariri’s extended stay in Saudi Arabia, and whether he is in the country of his own free will.

A senior official in the Lebanese government who did not identify himself said today (Thursday) that Al-Hariri is in being held in Saudi Arabia against his will.

“Because of this, Lebanon is asking foreign countries to pressure Saudi Arabia to release Hariri,” said the senior official, who claimed that denying Al-Hariri’s freedom in Saudi Arabia violated Lebanese sovereignty. “His honor is our honor.”

Events took an unexpected turn on Saturday when Al-Hariri announced that he was resigning from his post in a televised speech from Saudi Arabia.

Lebanon’s control by Iran via Hezbollah was the reason given for stepping down. Hezbollah, Al-Hariri said, “has come to control the seams of the state and has the final and decisive say in the affairs of Lebanon and the Lebanese.”

Like the unclear resignation’s circumstances, so are the very circumstances of his arrival in Saudi Arabia and his presence on its soil. Al-Hariri reportedly met with the French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. To date, Al-Hariri has not issued any statement denying reports that he is being held in Saudi Arabia under house arrest conditions.

Estimates of the situation suggest that Hariri was recently threatened by Iran to choose between supporting the strategy of the US administration against Hezbollah, or else Lebanon would face chaos and Hariri himself would meet the fate of his father who was assassinated on February 14th 2005.

Pope Francis Gathering World Leaders For Global Peace Conference At Vatican To Save World From Nuclear Disaster

The Pope is gathering officials and peaceniks as he tries to save the world from nuclear disaster amid the West’s standoff with North Korea. The “holyman” will address a conference at the Vatican tomorrow to try to temper the war of words between Donald Trump and despotic Kim Jong-un.

“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:5 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Pope Francis likes to act like a king more than he likes being a pope, and it’s no wonder. Revelation says that the beast of the ‘whore of Babylon’ will indeed be a global king, albeit for only a short time.

The US President, currently on a tour of Asia, said this week that the North Korean regime should “never underestimate” America’s military might by continuing in its drive for a vast nuclear arsenal. Among those attending the meeting are UN and NATO officials — as well as 11 Nobel Peace Prize winners.

Monsignor Silvano Tomasi, a conference organiser, admitted foreign policy analysts believe it is “pie in the sky” to think it could have an impact. But he added: “I think it’s very important to alert public opinion that the presence in the world of thousands of atomic bombs doesn’t guarantee the security of anyone.”

Pope urges mediation to end North Korea crisis:

In July, 122 countries approved a new UN treaty calling for the complete elimination of nuclear weapons — but none of the nuclear powers and no NATO members signed on.

George Lopez, who advised the UN Security Council on North Korea sanctions, said the Vatican conference “draws attention to and underscores the treaty and the Nobel prize, and says, ‘This is serious stuff’.”

Praising Pope Francis, he added that he is “keeping the issue alive and adding a new dimension”.

The United States is set to be represented at the conference by its deputy ambassador to the Holy See.  New ambassador Calista Gingrich hasn’t presented her credentials yet and can’t participate in official Vatican events.

Russia is sending a top nuclear expert, and NATO’s deputy secretary general, Rose Gottemoeller, is scheduled to speak. China and North Korea have been invited, but organisers said they do not know if the countries would send representatives as they do not have diplomatic relations. source
