Klik:>5 Times The Fake News Media Didn’t Ask If Obama Would Resign After Being Embroiled In His Various Scandals

by Geoffrey Grider

Make no mistake about it, the media has already decided that President Trump is guilty. They don’t know what he’s guilty of yet, and frankly, they don’t even care.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The presidency of Barack Hussein Obama was littered with dozens of scandals with everything from bribery, trying to prevent Benjamin Netanyahu from winning reelection, all the way up to the infamous failed Mexican gun running scandal that resulted in the death of a US Border Agent. Why don’t you remember those things? Because the fake news media did their very best to either cover it up, under report on it, or just completely ignore it all together. We present this article today as a gentle nudge to your memory, and to point out how disgustingly unfair President Trump is being treated in the media. And just remember one thing. If Russia really did tamper with our elections, they did it over an 18 month period while Barack Obama was still in power, and he did nothing to investigate it and nothing to stop it. Kinda like he colluded with them, eh? Hmm…

Earlier this week, April Ryan, a White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, asked White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, “With all of this turmoil, particularly last week, has the president at any time thought about stepping down before or now?” Sanders called the question ridiculous, but Ryan insisted, “It’s not a ridiculous question.”

Of course it was ridiculous. The media has been salivating over any damaging story that will embarrass Trump or somehow result in impeachment. But, where were the wolves in the media during the Obama presidency? Clearly, they were hibernating. During Obama’s presidency, whenever he was caught up in scandal they made excuses or chose not to cover the story. They never asked if Obama would resign as a result.

There are plenty of examples of scandals that, if the same standard applied to Obama as it does for Trump, the media would have asked if Obama would consider resigning. Here are five examples of times where the media should have asked the same question about Obama that April Ryan asked about Trump.

5. After He Was Implicated in the BlagoGate Scandal

After Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008, his seat in the United States Senate had to be filled by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. But, Blagojevich didn’t just want to give it away, he wanted something for it. At the time, Blagojevich was politically unpopular and running out of money. He was also the target of a federal corruption probe, and being wiretapped by the FBI. He was recorded saying “A Senate seat is a f—ing valuable thing. You don’t just give it away for nothing.” Negotiations soon began for Blagojevich to appoint an Obama-approved candidate to fill his seat. Obama even provided a list of suitable candidates. The governor wanted a position in Obama’s cabinet in exchange for nominating someone to Obama’s liking, or he’d appoint himself. When the scandal broke, Obama denied having any contact with the governor about his Senate seat, and his transition team conducted an internal investigation, which obviously cleared him of violating any laws. However, the criminal complaint and sworn testimony during Blagojevich’s trial contradicted Obama’s statements. Did the media call him out, or ask if he would resign because of the scandal? Nope. As far as they were concerned, the Obama transition team’s internal investigation was good enough for them.

4. After Firing an Inspector General to Protect a Friend and Donor

When Gerald Walpin, the inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), exposed former NBA star and Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson for misusing federal grant money, Walpin ought to have been celebrated. Johnson gave nearly a million dollars in AmeriCorps grant money to his own nonprofit organization, and used that money to pay volunteers for political activity and pay hush money to underage female students who had accused Johnson of sexual assault. But Walpin wasn’t celebrated, he was fired… by Barack Obama. The firing violated federal law, as Walpin was entitled to 30 days’ notice, and Congress must receive in writing an explanation for the termination, according to the Inspector General Reform Act of 2008—a law Obama co-sponsored as a U.S. senator. Following the firing, there was a smear campaign against Walpin and a cover-up. Where was the media when Obama was violating federal law to protect a friend and donor who misused federal funds and was accused of sexually abusing underage girls? They never asked if Obama would resign due to the scandal because they never covered it.

3. After Bribing Joe Sestak to Not Run for the U.S. Senate

Barack Obama violated at least four federal laws back in 2010, but you didn’t hear the media squawk about it — or ask if Obama would resign when Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) revealed that he had been offered a job in the Obama administration in exchange for not challenging Arlen Specter for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. Specter had recently switched from the GOP to the Democratic Party, and that switch was contingent on support from Obama. Obama’s then-spokesman Robert Gibbs wouldn’t confirm or deny that any offer was made, but was never asked if Obama would resign after Sestak made his bombshell allegation, even after months of the Obama White House stonewalling a congressional investigation. Nor did they ask after the Obama White House finally admitted that Sestak was indeed offered a federal job to stay out of the election—after Sestak defeated Specter in the primary. The media was quick to accept the White House version of events, including the “everybody does it” excuse, and they accepted the White House claim that nothing improper happened. Even Republicans lost interest in pursuing the story after Sestak was defeated in the general election by Republican Pat Toomey.

  2. After 47 Inspectors General Accused His Administration of Stonewalling Investigations

Inspectors general are independent watchdogs who investigate their respective departments for corruption and to ensure compliance with the law. There are seventy-three inspector generals and they are appointed by the presidents of the United States. In August 2014, forty-seven of those inspectors general wrote a letter to Congress accusing the Obama administration of systemic obstruction of justice and abuse of power. You know, exactly what Richard Nixon would have faced impeachment for had he not resigned. This letter was unprecedented in our nation’s history and speaks to the culture of corruption in Obama’s administration. Many of the stonewalled investigations had drastic political implications for Obama, and Republicans and Democrats were united in their outrage. But the press was absent when it came to calling Obama out for systemic obstruction and corruption in his administration. With all of this turmoil, where was the media wondering if Obama would resign?

1. After Obama Was Exposed for  Communicating with Hillary Clinton on Her Private Server

If you thought Hillary Clinton’s email scandal was just a Hillary scandal, you are wrong. Hillary’s extensive efforts to skirt transparency laws was very much an Obama scandal as well. The law is quite clear about the mishandling of classified information, and there’s no doubt that Hillary sent and received classified information through her unsecure private email server. But, we also know that Barack Obama communicated with Hillary through her private email server… using a pseudonymous email account. Does anyone really believe that the president of the United States and his secretary of state never discussed classified information this way? Of course the Obama administration refused to disclose those emails and it’s an easy guess as to why. So, with a potential smoking gun that not only Hillary Clinton but Barack Obama were “grossly negligent” with classified information, the media should have been all over this, and based on their behavior with Trump, should have asked whether he would resign.

We’ll never be able to have an honest conversation about corruption in government if our leaders aren’t held to the same standards, regardless of party. The same people who ignored Obama’s many scandals (and still make excuses for them) have no moral authority to criticize Trump about any alleged corruption. source

French Ambassador Francois Delattre told the UN Security Council Syria’s Government has reached a “point of no return” by using chemical weapons.

He vowed to confront the “intolerable threat” of such attacks to global security.

He said that by “deciding once again to use chemical weapons” in the rebel-held town of Douma, “the regime has reached a point of no-return,” Delattre said.

“France will shoulder its responsibility to end an intolerable threat to our collective security,” he said. “We must cease the chemical weapons escalation in Syria.”

Syria has also moved most of its aircraft in to Iran and actually armed them ready at Iranian airbases.

Bear in mind it seems the UK have asked for any action to start before Monday if it can be arranged that way. May doesn’t want to reach Monday and be faced with a yes or no vote for action in parliament. If we reach Monday and no strike its a massive political problem in the UK as it will trigger a whole parliamentary procedure and vote which the government may lose.

Gaat dus zeer waarschijnlijk voor maandag beginnen.

US and allies threat of war is holding the world hostage

So, the world is counting the hours to see whether the US and its allies will launch a military strike on Syria. If this war plan goes ahead, the attack will be furious – and the repercussions grave, as Russia sternly warned this week.

Indeed, we are talking about the very real danger that any US-led military action against Syria will rapidly escalate into a region-wide, or even world war.

Russia has alerted that any missiles targeting its ally Syria will be shot down and their launchers destroyed. The latter inevitably means US warplanes and naval vessels.

Already, Syria is set to explode into a wider war involving Russia and Iran on one side, and the US, Britain, France, Israel and Saudi Arabia on the other. Repeated lethal air strikes on Syria by Israel – again this week – are hardly met with condemnation, even when Iranian nationals were killed.

The stance of President Donald Trump and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, as well as Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May is abominable. These three leaders are threatening to take coordinated military action against Syria allegedly over a chemical-weapon incident last weekend.

They have no evidence of the alleged incident, despite bombastic statements blaming Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian and Iranian allies. At times, the Western leaders even admit they have no evidence, saying “if confirmed” to qualify their condemnations. Yet on the basis of no evidence, the US, Britain and France are declaring preparations to strike Syria.

This is typical of the general degradation of international law by these three arrogant powers. The Skripal poison case in Britain is a particular illustration of how prejudice and contempt for due legal process have become par for their course.

The war threats against Syria are made even before inspectors from the UN-affiliated Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons have entered Syria – at the request of the Syrian government and Russia by the way – to carry out an investigation into the alleged chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta on April 7.

Moreover, there is plausible reason and evidence to show that the purported incident was actually a false-flag provocation staged by the Western-backed militants precisely for the purpose of creating a pretext for external military intervention.

Thus, President Trump and his NATO allies have absolutely no legal grounds for carrying out a military strike on Syria. It is entirely criminal what they are proposing to do.

Nikki Haley, the insufferably ignorant American ambassador at the UN, declared this week that her country reserves the right to militarily hit Syria – with or without a mandate from the Security Council.

This is tantamount to proclaiming a prerogative for lawlessness and unlimited aggression. The US and its allies are flouting international law to openly perpetrate the supreme war crime of aggression.

Adding to the obscene spectacle is the flagrant expedience of the three Western leaders.

Trump is being assailed with serious allegations of having affairs with a porn star and a Playboy model. The president is fighting for his political survival over alleged corruption and pay-offs to his accusers who claim to have had trysts with Trump.

Britain’s Theresa May is facing the collapse of her government over the Brexit debacle, which is tearing her country apart due to immense economic uncertainty for Britain after it quits the European Union next year.

In addition, the Skripal poisoning affair has boomeranged to show that British Cabinet ministers have been caught out lying over allegations against Russia in a supposed assassination plot against a former Russian spy in England last month. British scientists lately admit they haven’t confirmed the Russian origin of the alleged nerve poison, despite ministers earlier claiming they did confirm. Also, the Skripal affair is beginning to look like a farcical British propaganda stunt, which in truth resembles more a case of abduction by Britain’s authorities.

As for France’s Macron, his presidency is reeling from nationwide industrial strikes against plans to ransack workers’ employment rights. Macron is so desperate to salvage his political and economic woes that this week he shamelessly pandered to the visiting Saudi Crown Prince to seek more multi-billion-euro arms deals. Banging the drums of war over Syria is music to the ears of the Saudi rulers, and Macron is banging furiously to ingratiate himself.

Trump, May and Macron – three politically damaged leaders – are pushing a war in Syria out of venal expedience. Regardless of any proof to justify their aggression, and regardless of the very grave repercussions involving a world war.

The audacity is staggering. Only 15 years ago, the US and Britain launched a war on Iraq based on lies over non-existent Weapons of Mass Destruction. As many as one million lives were destroyed by this American and British aggression.

Washington, London and Paris are currently supporting a genocidal war by Saudi Arabia against Yemen, where millions of children are starving to death due to a blockade of the country.

Meanwhile, the US and its allies are silently complicit as Israeli military snipers shoot dead unarmed Palestinians protesting against illegal occupation. And the Israelis post videos celebrating their cold-blood murdering spree.

Syria has been salvaged from a seven-year covert war for regime change orchestrated and sponsored by Washington, London and Paris, as well as Saudi Arabia and Israel, among others. It was Russia and Iran’s military intervention that decisively defeated the terror proxies waging the war for Washington and its accomplices.

And now we have the Western state terror-sponsors threatening to attack Syria.

Of course, the conduct of Washington, London and Paris is criminal if they do go ahead with their military aggression on Syria in the coming days.

But even if these Western warmongers do not deliver on their threats to strike Syria, it is still abominable that they even make such threats. The incitement of war and blackmail to use military force is in itself a war crime.

Washington, London and Paris are holding the world to ransom with their wanton, self-entitled right to use violence – in complete contempt for international law. These three Western powers are engaging in state-sponsored terrorism against the entire world, by pushing the planet to the brink of all-out war.

There would seem to be not many options to rectify the appalling situation. Perhaps a war does indeed erupt, and Russia and its allies inflict military defeat on the arrogant US-led forces. Or perhaps, the people in the US, Britain and France finally recognize the warmonger leaders they have in their midst, and rise up to overthrow them.
